I'm sorry you are struggling so much.

Anxiety can be intense.

And overwhelming.

What helps me, is counting my breaths until my heart rate calms.

Listening to music to stop the overthinking.

Reminding myself that I'm safe, it will pass and it can't hurt me 💚

I'm on the same boat as you right now. Meds can only do so much. My anxiety and panic attacks are pretty much 24/7. I just have to keep reminding myself that like everything else in life this to shall pass. However, waiting is the hardest part.

Ice packs are my saviour x

On the back of the neck

DBT skill:

T: Tip the temperature (so something cold e.g. cold shower, ice pack, to bring the heart rate down)

I: Intense exercise (going for a run, star jumps, running on the spot, jumping jacks - using your built up energy of the overwhelming emotions)

P: Paced breathing (breathe in deeply through the nose and out through the mouth, box breathing if that helps - reduce physical manifestation of overwhelming emotions)

P: Progressive muscle relaxation (deliberately tighten your muscles for five seconds and then let go, you can scan through you body if that helps - helps relax tense muscles in the body whilst experiencing extreme emotions)

I hope this helps. It’s one of the tools I use ☺️
