Any tips for blocking out heart palpation nosies at night?

My anxiety is really causing me to struggle going to sleep or staying asleep. It’s there all day and I am super aware of my heartbeat/heart rate, obviously at night when there’s no noise and I’m laying down it’s like 10x more louder. I can hear and feel it.

Problem is that when I don’t sleep well my anxiety is a lot worse so it’s a bad cycle. I do lots of things before bed like read, no screens, camomile tea and some deep breathing but when my heart beat is so loud my brain doesn’t wanna shut off.

Just wondered if anyone struggled with this and found anything useful? I might try an audio book or white noise but I’m not sure if having the headphones in will actually make sleeping harder.

@mymy90 you might try cleaning your ears. Ear wax can sometimes make heart sounds more apparent

Do you need to use headphones? I know if someone else isn't happy with the noise it can make things difficult, but if you can agree on a noise, audiobook, music or podcast that might work.

There are also a lot of different tapping type of exercises for relaxation. There are lots out there but this one came to mind for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5dE25ANU0k You can even use your heartbeat to set the pace at least to start.
