@Hypergraphia  Pursed lips breathing - breathe in as much as you can, breathe out as much as you can with your lips pursed repeat 2 or 3 times.  Also sing or play a musical instrument (if you don't have an instrument "play" the trumpet with your fist - your favourite song).

I lie down in bed(these attacks usually happen st night for me anyway) and focus on steady, controlled breathing.

I recently read about grounding exercises though. An example was like counting 5 things you can see,v4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell(or think of 2 smells you like),and 1 thing you can taste (or 1 of your fav tastes). And then just keep cycling through that until the attack passes. I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet but it seems interesting..
