High anxiety right now
Please Don’t Ignore Your Symptoms – My Story
For years, I was told by anxiety programs, therapists and coaches that “it’s just adrenaline,” “a false alarm,” and “nothing is really happening.” I believed them because I wanted to trust the process, so I dismissed every chest pain, flutter, and dizzy spell as anxiety.
But recently, I had two abnormal ECGs and have now been referred to a cardiologist who has seen me and arranged for more tests, also has put me on cardiac medication. I still don’t know the full picture yet, but I’ve learned an important lesson: anxiety and physical health problems can look very similar — and sometimes they overlap.
I’m not sharing this to scare anyone but to remind you:
If something feels wrong, get it checked out.
Anxiety may amplify symptoms, but it doesn’t mean your body is lying to you.
Seeking medical reassurance is not weakness — it’s wisdom.
I wish someone had told me this sooner. Please listen to your body, even if you think it’s “just anxiety.”

great reminder.
Thanks a lot, I'm struggling with exactly this. I have cardiac anxiety and it's wreakinng havoc on my life. I've made some trips to the doctor after feeling something consistently bugging in my chest, tension, fatigue, pain. Dizziness also due to high blood pressure sometimes. I keep worrying that something might happen. I got a full panel done earlier but the ecgs seemed normal. But I keep feeling like something is going to be wrong.
