I am having an anxious moment and getting scared
I had my first day period on June 1, I started taking combined contraceptive pills on the 9th of June, and had unprotected intercourse on the 13th and 14th. I then taken a morning pill Levonorgestrel, on the 15th and still continued to taking my combined contraceptive pills. As of today, I am still taking combined contraceptive pills. Am I now “safe” to not get pregnant?
Please can someone give an advise or give their thought about this? Thank you so much
@Aryapurple84 it seems like you did everything possible to avoid a pregnancy, I think you're safe!
Once you've completed a full menstrual cycle on contraceptive pills you should be safe enough to have intercourse without additional protections. If you still don't feel safe enough, you can combine contraceptive pill and condom as an additional protection.
Be mindful of using morning after pills. They're not meant to be used often, so only take it when there's a real risk of being pregnant (for example, you were sick and threw up, so the contracceptive pill might not have been absorbed correctly)
