I don't know what's wrong with me
For the past 2 years I have barely left my house. I've been afraid to go around people and even walk in my neighborhood. It scares me to even going my porch as I don't want anyone looking or talking about me. And to top it off, I'm even more afraid and insecure because I have gained weight this past year and I can't get it off. I avoid talking with people on the phone so I won't have to lie cus I know I don't have anything fantastic going on in my life... I actually don't have anything at all going on in my life. I just can't go around people

🥺
I'm so sorry to hear that.
The insecurities and the fears have heightened for you and taken over.
It's hard when we compare ourselves to others and think we are not good enough.
Depression can take away so much, it can make us put on or lose weight, not take care of our appearance, our hygiene, making us more self confident but I promise you, it doesn't take away who you are at your core, or your value, you matter , never forget that 💜 💕

@Amanda84 one of the angelic soul🥺
@scarletWest8397 even I feel the same as...
Hope things will get better~
I hope things will get better for you too. How long have you been feeling this way?
@scarletWest8397 past 4 years
How about you?
A little over 2 years now. But it seems that what we are going through may be from when COVID started. Even before COVID I had great anxiety around people, but I had no choice but to deal with the discomfort then; but now with homeschool, grocery delivery (leave at the door) more work-from-home job options has me feeling more safe and I don't have to face my fears of being around people or even going outside. I can say that post-covid era has impacted my life for the worse. Do you think that it has gotten worse for you the past 4 years due to how covid changed society? Or is it something else?
@scarletWest8397
its a different story for me..I was traumatized by some incidents...and still facing with it and later I got social anxiety, even i cant leave my home till now coz of staring of people...the feeling was like my body wanted a isolated place where no one can see me...And I keep wearing hoodies to cover myself...but idk how it can help me but i keep wearing them till now...
Try taking baby steps. You don't have to walk a mile. Just a few feet in the beginning. Every journey starts with the first step.
Hi,
I am so sorry to hear that - I'm in the same position but for like the past three years. I get so anxious sometimes it feels like the world is ending- I am in therapy as of now and the good news is it doesnt last forever. This also is not tour fault and beating yourself up about it won't make you do things faster- actually the opposite.
We don't leave the house for multiple reason but the biggest one for all of them is you don't feel safe,your brain does not feel safe and you can not rush that the only way is to deal with that. I am more than happy to talk about it some more if you want to dm!
