Is this anxiety? stress? how can i cope
I've always been worried or overwhelmed at situations that shouldn't be a problem. the thought of hanging out with friends stresses me out eventhough i do want to hang out with them. i also have this habit of wanting things to go perfectly so when something does not go the way i expect it to, it stresses me out a lot, so now i just get stressed in general thinking about situations in the far future and it sometimes feels like my head is being overloaded. i try telling myself that i'm just overthinking and i shouldn't worry but it doesn't help. i'm just feeling confused, everything feels overloaded that i can't really process what i feel. i've been to several psychologists all my life and was diagnosed with depression, ptsd and generalised anxiety disorder. i have been so much better now except for the panic attacks i've had the last year and i sometimes wish i was still taking meds because it seemed to quiet down my mind but i know i should not go back to that because it did leave a negative effect on me long term. i don't know if i just needed to rant but if there's any suggestions to deal with this, i would appreciate it
Yes, I can sense that you are struggling with anxiety. And typing in forums to talk about your anxiety is a good way to destress
It is okay to aim for perfection, think ahead, and stress can be a motivator.
However, when everything needs to be perfect you need a lot of energy, be on high alert, there's no time to rest therefore it's not good for the long term.
I suggest taking breaks and doing self care activities frequently. Positive affirmations and having manageable expectations may help too.
It's like you're talking about me
.but I do not visit any therapist or psychiatrist, and I have no way to do so It is very sad to suffer a loss because of this stresses Take care of yourself and do not waste any chance of recovery
