24(f) ive currently live at home with my parents and im struggling to find a decent job that would pay for me to live on my own. I feel lost and confused and overwhelemed and unsatisified and i feel like i want to reset my life. I dont know how to do that or if it would even help me feel better. I just feel like im in a rut and i want to get out. I dont have any friends close enough to talk to about things and my parents r kind of dismissive of my feelings. Anyone have any advice?

Hi, I've been there. I know it's hard but don't give up looking for a job. As soon as you find one, your life will turn around. It will get better.

Besides finding a job that will be enough for you to live on your own ....... do you have a set Idea of how much it would take are you prepared to move for example before my son moved he bought pan/ dish sets a bed and linens/ towels living on your own is more then just rent........ have you considered having a roommate to move out faster...

New job might help........ but if you still want things to change sooner .... when i feel in a rut i challenge myself to do things i have not before or perhaps is out of my normal........

Do you feel like a rut because of your living situation or in general? Because if it's the latter, moving out is a risk as it might make you feel more lonely with no one there when you get home.

If your set on getting your own place, definitely have to do the math, the research and the adulting. Figure out how much you will need monthly, not just on rent but also food, utilities, necessities (man, I always ran out of toilet paper and dish soap when I first moved out). Maybe check out nearby areas that might be a bit more affordable?

Finding a secure job is also going to be vital, something that's more geared towards seasonal will cause stress during downtimes. Maybe find a side hustle that can supplement the job, such as thrift flipping? Will help keep you busy as well.
