My anxiety @ 25 weeks pregnant
I’m 21,I’m pregnant and my anxiety is eating me alive. I’m happy about being my unborn sons mother but the transition has been really disappointing. I wish I planned my pregnancy or did things differently. I feel like nobody sees me as pregnant my family doesn’t check on me, my partner expects me to take care of him instead of him take care of me. I have to beg for my needs to be met and I have nothing figured out. I feel like I’m on edge and Ive been in fight or flight mode for a few months now, I feel depression creeping in
I feel like giving up for a while even if that means disappointing people. I know I’m gonna continue to be called names like lazy or fat but I just can’t care anymore. Caring is becoming painful. I really only have room to care for my body and trying to feed myself the nutrients my baby needs while my back is hurting and my heart is just aching & holding on
@izaemily
I am sorry you are going through that in your pregnancy. I think pregnancy is a time we want to be cared for and appreciate all women are going through... do not feel bad for taking care of yourself and baby.
Many people seem to think of this happens every day in the world .... blah blah. This is our time not everyone else's ...With hormones surging and all we go through it is not easy. i know how it feels i was treated like i was tough i can still do everything blah blah... in the end the baby is the star of the show and we are expected to bounce back. i had planned and unplanned did not matter to spouse was treated the same.
Hey @izaemily, I am so sorry to hear you are struggling with such immense stress during such a major time in your life, I can only imagine how hard it’s been for you. I know how hard it is to feel like nobody cares and wants to be here for you, believe me I do, but there are so many people in the world who are happy to support you. Sometimes it takes a little more searching than what we’d like, but once you find your support circle it will change your life, and your baby’s, for the better!
I would encourage you to reach out to a women’s health center/pregnancy support center that can provide you with resources for managing stress during this time. As for your partner, I would have a sit down with them and explain how you’re feeling. If they can’t respect those feelings, I’d encourage you to evaluate if they’re the one you want to help raise your sweet baby.
Sending you all of the love and well wishes, feel free to reach out if you need anything!🫂
