So very nervous/anxious over procedure
I have a stereotactic core biopsy of the breast today in about two hours and I am so afraid. I don’t do well with unexpected pain and I have reflexes that make me want to “get away” from what is hurting me. I have past medical trauma so my trust is low, I have a phobia of male doctors in my personal “zones.” Anything that makes me feel like someone else has control puts me into a panic. I just need some encouragement, please, friends. I also worried about results.

I hope the procedure went OK. Medical stuff is so invasive, both physically and mentally, these worries are so relatable.
I also hope you don't have to wait too long for the results. Try to live in the present if you can. I know it is easier said than done, but you can't change the future by worrying about it. Save dealing with it for when you need to deal with it, then you can deal with it one step at a time.
Do share how it goes, if you want too.
It was an awful experience. So painful. I already have trust issues from past trauma and this just made it worse. I explained my anxiousness, my fears of pain and asked that they please numb me well. They didn’t. I’ll never go back. Now I have the experience replaying in my mind.
Thank you for your encouragement. I appreciate it.
