@LaNiya
hello there. I also have GAD. And it’s EXHAUSTING. I’ve done CBT and now I’ve moved on to DBT. I’ve found this is helpful.
Some things I’ve learned along the way is number one focus on the breathing. I always thought when I was told that blah blah blah. But it’s true. And make sure your exhale is a nice long one. Be mindful and relax all your muscles as you go.
Some days are going to be better than others and some days I feel like I’m drowning. But if you can find the trigger that caused the stress that caused the anxiety and unwrap that tangled ball— it’s helpful.
I’m rooting for you 💛💛
Find something to offset it, when it gets too much. Whatever interests you, take a break and read a chapter, listen to music, go for a walk, anything that gives you some peace for a bit.
Address the anxiety, see what steps you can take to alleviate it. Does talking help? Does writing about it help?
I hope it gets more manageable for you over time.
Asmr/foodie videos help me to unwind and then I can get back to focusing on what I was supposed to be doing.
