Working on another Application

I'm so bad with applications. I just have no idea how to market myself. I got some appointments set up for things like resume/job assistance but I'm hoping I can get something set up before then. Those appointments are all the way out in June and I just don't want to wait that long.

I'm also so worried about potentially getting this particular job because it's fast paced with a lot of customers and you are doing everything by yourself essentially. I've been out of work for so long that I'm worried I'll freeze up and be all by myself with angry customers. God I wish I could just alter my personality on the spot and be completely confident and competent about everything all the time instead of how unfocused, anxious, and timid I really am.

Oh, yes! It's hard to sell yourself when you don't believe in yourself! But good for you for getting on with it and giving it a go! That takes courage.

Might that be your unique selling point for this situation? That even when you know something is going to be difficult (dealing with awkward customers), you have the courage and determination to try and do the best you can? You can learn how to let people's anger flow past you and not affect you. Sometimes showing that you are willing to learn puts you in a better light than pretending you know it all already.

Best of luck.
