how to cope with anxiety attacks 🔮
-
try breathing techniques
Old but gold square breathing technique works just fine most of the times but just paying attention to your breathing and trying to make it more stable is a great way to feel better in a matter of minutes
create sensory friendly environment 🔥
Go somewhere quiet, get dressed in something comfy, dim the lights, smell your favorite perfume or candle. Maybe take a bath so you can be alone for a while and enjoy warm flowing water.
Think of what makes you feel uncomfortable and try to fix it if possible💗
go outside ⛅
While it might feel overwhelming going out can help with anxiety (probably by shifting your focus to your surroundings but I'm not quite sure). Yet, there are times when it only makes it worse so listen to yourself and do what works best for you
connect to nature 🌲
If you have access to local park or forest, spending a little time there just by yourself can be really helpful. Or you can bring somebody who can make you company without interrupting your experience.
Bonus if you have a pet who can tolerate outdoor walks U'ᴥ'U
Even giving a little attention to your houseplants can do a trick! 🌱play with pets 🐇🐇🐇
if you have a pet, you can enjoy their company!!! Otherwise, watching videos of cute animals is proven to make you feel better 🦋
ground yourself by engaging in simple activities
try activities that provide sensory experience and don't require you to be focused and process information since it can be overwhelming
҉ *\( ‘ ω ’ )/*҉- dance by making random moves
- do your makeup without any actual idea what you are doing
- sing without making any effort to sound good
- paint and enjoy mixing different colors
- write a random story
- daydream
- cook
- take a shower
- stretch your body like you feel it to reduce muscle tension
Hope it helps
