Hello I'm 16 and in high-school for years I've had to deal with anxiety especially social anxiety.

For years I've always looked at the floor or at my feet because looking directly at someone is hard.

I've always been quiet keeping to myself and making friends and showing who I really am with my problems is hard because I don't want people to judge me.

I feel afraid to talk to people so when people call me names or say something to me I don't fight it I just keep walking keeping myself isolated.

Hey Dear all,

I'm a girl, am having some anxiety issues, may be also carrying ADHD, (about it, I'm still confused 🫤😑).

And about reaching out here in 7cups, I can't remember that exact thing or day. But seeing it on Play store, it felt much intriguing. So I thought, let's give it a shoot girl......😇💝

And now I'm here, feeling less loud (at least a little) in my head, taking deep and conscious dreath, sipping water, living my days...🥳😇🥰💝❤️‍🩹💝

Hello,

I'm 33 years old and the last two monts I've had issues with severe anxiety. It all started after an event at work that upset me, after experiencing mobbing from my superior for the past year and a half (in terms of manipulation, lies, accusations, slander, belittling and similar). I was an overthinker before and had my fair share of anxiety which I managed to deal with. After that event at work, my anxiety spiked and I took a sick leave and stayed at home, thinking it will pass, but now it's been two months and I'm constantly overwhelmed with negative thoughts, unrealistic fears, unnecessary worries, and it feels like my body is in a constant agitated and tense state. I have severe mood swings and trouble staying in present when I'm doing things. At the beginning I couldn't get out of bed, I would sleep 3-4 hours longer than usual, I had no will to get through another day. In the past month some days were better and I managed to live life like I used to, but this anxiety is like a shadow looming over me, never knowing when it's goin to strike. I'm so tired of waking up to yet another day and feeling like this, my mind making up stories and fears, overwhelming me, when it starts it's like a whirlwind that seems impossible to get out of. I'm really trying with breathing exercises, social activities, meditating, herbal supplements etc.but I feel like there is no progress, it's like it's always one step forward, two steps back. Anyway, thanks for reading. If you have any advice for me, would be grateful.

@Laura, Hi there, I am a new member in this platform so I hope to get along with you guys during this journey. I've been suffering from anxiety and fear for my entire life, as a child I was someone who is so easily frightened and required frequent reassurance but no one could embrace my fear and anxiety in the way that I desired the most, so growing up I learned to hide my emotions instead of regulating and embracing them.

Thus, with each passing day I could sense my frustration piling up every time I couldn't truely be myself and along with it my anxiety, until I've reached a point where I could no longer be alone with my own thoughts and emotions as an intense pain alternating with persistent emptiness washed over me leaving me agitated at times then numb at others.

And that's when I stumbled upon a certain psychiatrist's podcasts. He emphasized multiple times the importance of exposure, of being seen and embraced in someone else's light which could apparently teach you how to embrace your own flesh and soul.

so this is the story of how I've got here, I hope this will be a valuable experience that would bring me closer to the version of me that I have ever longed for and I wish it would be a similar experience for you all🤍

Hello to anyone who’s reading this….

I’m a 14 year old girl who struggles with almost all of the anxiety disorders. General anxiety, social anxiety….the works. I have low self esteem and my anxiety helps degrade me. I want to learn how to love myself inside and out and not let anxiety make my decisions. For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a nervous “bug” but I don’t think I realized there was an actual term. Anxiety. My anxiety got so bad that I ended getting depression (don’t worry I’m doing very well!!) I think the worse my anxiety got the worse my depression got too. I have a nervous tick that causes me even more stress. I bite and chew on the inside of my cheeks. It doesn’t calm me down but whenever I get nervous it happens.

To whoever’s reading this and is struggling with some of the things I’m going through: Don’t let anxiety win okay? I bet you’re a wonderful and beautiful person so don’t be afraid to go out and live your life! You got this! ❤️ 🫂

Hello, im 39 and am a male in texas. I have a long history of abuse and trauma, of all shapes and kinds. I am here because I dont want to hide in my room. But where I live, isnt conducive to making friends, for I live in a neighborhood full of families with small children. I also cant find a job and dont have a car. I struggle with acceptance, understanding that silence doesnt mean gone, and whether life is worth living. I have a gf but she lives in Oregon. So we only talk on *** and only when she isnt busy with work. Which isnt much time. I have tried my whole life to be a good person, someone who gets.his work done, and avoids people. People have cause me so much trauma in my life. But I want to find people, because I know not everyone is an evil not nice person. But I have lost 99.9% of all the people I ever met and interacted with. I understand that u lose people in life but we live in a world with 200 plus social media, emails, et. Ways to keep in touch are easier than ever. So there is no excuse to lose contact with anyone. Just well that person means nothing to u. And im tired of getting that from the world. Either there are people who want me or I shouldnt be here. To me its that simple. Where I live has shown I shouldnt be here at all

Hi. I'm new to this group. I have bad anxiety. I can't leave the house without checking all the cooker knows are turned off snd the iron is unplugged. I then have to take photos on my phone. So it takes a long time for me to leave the house. Whether I'm going out to work. Or popping out to buy a pint of milk. It's making my life difficult. I also have anxiety towards relationships but that's another story.
