Panic attacks caused by anger
Okay, so I've slowly come to realize that all my panic attack are caused by anger, most of the time or guilt. I can manage my attacks a lot better than before, but symptoms like upper back pain, the feeling of my eating and breathing tubes contracting, heart palpitations and the urge to destroy something has become more intense.
Does any of you experience this? What do you do to manage your attack?
This happens to me sometimes I think. I usually try to breathe through it.

I have the same issues and sometimes stop breathing and have no pulse (8 times). Have you seen a MD for your issues? Neuroligest MD and GI MD also??
@CryOfWords42 It's great that you've identified the emotion that usually accompanies or precedes your panic attacks! That's a first step in helping them because, like you said, you can better predict when they are going to come and prevent them from spiraling out of control. I agree with what someone else said in this forum, slowing down your breathing can be very helpful for panic attacks. There are ways you can express your anger in healthy ways too, so that it doesn't build into an attack, perhaps by journaling or exercising. This of course, is more useful before it evolves into a panic attack. I hope your symptoms continue to decrease as you become more aware of what causes them!
I think that sometimes my panic attacks are caused by anger when I feel that I lose control in certain situations. I get frustrated and then begin to panic.

Wow! You suffer a lot! Guilt is part of anxiety and for some reason, I have found times when I feel guilty for no reason or hang on to some small thing I did so long ago. Its so good you are dealing with the panic in a physical way, but it would be better to find a positive physical way. Your adrenaline is running like crazy and to work it off is a great way to get past things. Do you run or are you able to find a good way to cope with your anger?
I experience these too. And I will shout and hurt myself.
The best thing to do is to calm down before you panic. What I do is to go take some tea (it makes you wait, it smells good, it's warm... So it calms me down) or touch something soft, like a blanket or a plushie.
I don't know which are your calming methods, but you should try them out when you're about to have an anxiety attack. Maybe you need to do some grounding or focus on your breathing or closing your eyes and imagining some nice landscape. Whatever works for you! :)
