Panic attacks coming back
It’s been a while since I’ve had regular panic attacks, but over the past week they’ve been coming back and it really scares me. I guess I’m looking for some kind of assurance from people here or just hearing it gets better or I can face these things, stuff like that. Cause what I’m feeling is a lot of vulnerability. I think I’m scared about the panic attacks because it makes me think I’m losing control of my mental health again. When I’m not really, it’s just life throwing more things at me right now than it did a month ago. I still feel like I’m no longer in control though. I still worry that my mental health might rapidly decline and I’ll do something stupid like I have done before. God, I just want to be healthy. I want to stop having panic attacks all together, I want to have a normal, healthy brain. Big sigh 😔

I know it's difficult to go through this. I am sorry you are experiencing this. I am not a doctor and I don't know enough about you or life to try and judge or make a guess, but I do know that sometimes in my experience they tend to pop up if there is some underlying stress or something else that might be triggering them. Is there any extra stress on you at the moment or anything that you are more worried about than usual? Maybe there's just a lot going on? Are you able to take some time out for yourself each day and exercise and/or meditate, jot down your thoughts in a journal once a day, or something along those lines? There are some really quality trainings out there, just in case you haven't come across those yet:

Thank you so much for your lovely reply. You hit it spot on the the underlying stress! I’ve been experiencing flashbacks to my trauma recently due to a trigger and I recently got diagnosed with Coronavirus. Thankfully I have a session with my mental health mentor tomorrow so I have that in place. Will definitely take up your advice and tips and I appreciate you sending me those links!!
@Stargazing1 Hi there, glad to hear some of those ideas were helpful. I hope your appointment went well. How are you feeling today?
@Stargazing1
Seems you are super worried about panic attacks coming back into your life. Since you successfully take control of panic attacks before, I believe you can make it again. Life unpredictable throwing things now is just temporary. You are awareness this situation and have experience coping with it. Everything will be fine. Wish you the best.
I am so sorry that you feel the way you do. I also suffer in the same way it is very difficult. Please remember that you can reach out and it will get better. Life is long enough for you to get strong. For me it helps to exercise and do breathing techniques. Thank you for being brave enough to say how you feel and what makes you afraid. 🤗
Hi See recovery from panic attacks is like an 'irregular sine wave'. You will hit the lowest points on the wave, which means that you will soon climb up to the highest and happy points. Overtime the panic attacks reduce. Don't worry hold on tight. Be regular with meditation.
