Hi everyone. I’ve been having panic attacks for several days and I also have it now. I live alone and feel quite bad. I don’t know the reason for this panic, but I feel anxious, stressed, tired, I feel that something bad may happen for no reason. I overthink everything. Since I live alone and don’t have friends, I can’t tell anyone that I feel quite bad generally and have panic attacks. Thanks for listening to me, it was very important for me to share.

Hello there!

First I want to say that I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I know it is not easy facing anxiety and panic attacks. I can relate to this. I think talking about is the first step so good for you for doing that!

I am going tobstart therapy very soon, is this something you've considered ?

Best wishes

Google grounding techniques and anxiety/panic attacks

I had three years of anxiety attacks and it was very trying to say the least. I learned grounding techniques which is when you focus on anything like a blade of grass, and notice it's texture, look at the color, feel the way it bends, smell it, etc The reasoning is that when you focus on something else you can have brief periods of calmness and the more you develop that skill the longer in-between the panic attacks. Panic and anxiety are just like a common thief, it wants to steal away your joy, so we cannot let it, we can learn to battle back and win!~ Let me know how you are doing by tagging me, I did it and so can you :-)

Like you, I live alone and have been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks off and on for many years. What works for me is trying to go out almost every day no matter how bad I feel. I take walks, I volunteer, I go to libraries and read. When home, I can usually distract myself with crafts, crosswords, or organizing. I still have some pretty bad days when I just power through. Good luck to you. You're not alone.
