What are your physical anxiety/panic attack symptoms?

I suffer from GAD and panic disorder. I have panic attacks more often than I wish, some small and other really really bad. I've been to the hospital countless times along with visiting my doctor for what I think is "life threatening" and never find anything. I have experienced chest pain/tightness, shortness of breath, dizzy, headaches, choking sensation that lasts a while, thought of swollen throat, trouble swollwing, numbness, stomach pain, etc. just courious on what everyone goes through. I felt like such a "weirdo" for a long time and thought I was just nuts until finding this app and reading that I'm not alone in this type of attacks.

Ive been having a lot of anxiety lately that resulted in a lot of acid reflux and nausea, and a doctor said it may be GERD. Has anyone else gone through this bc of anxiety???

I feel like I'm going to vomit, and it feels like acid is burning the inside of my throat. I often feel like I'm floating too

@bravePlane9590 I suppose it feels like you aren't walking on the ground, like you are walking on air.

@Booklover95

I get so many different symptoms! It usually starts with a funny numb feeling on the left side of my face. Then it goes down my left arm. My legs feel like they are going to give out on me and my heart races and I get inner shakes. It is so hard to explain my symptoms to a Dr. or my husband. Feels like I am going to faint or have a stroke but I never do. Lasts anywhere from 10 minutes to hours and lasts from a day to several days. And it usually comes on with no warning at all.

@hooper264

You explained them quite well though

And I'll give you the advice someone gave me here on 7cups aswell: if you struggle to explain the symptoms to your husband or doctor try writing them down on a piece of papper and showing them

@hooper264 I get the same symptoms, mines seem like they last forever. It's so scary. I have been to the e.r. I don't know how many times think I was having a stroke or heart attack. I pray we get over this one day because I t really ruins your life and it seems no one understands you.

I have had anxiety attacks now off and on for 10 yrs. Have had so many tests to see if it is something else and all keep coming up normal. I will have bouts of attacks then it goes away sometimes for days sometimes for months. Then all of a sudden they come back again. I just really can't take it anymore

As soon as a panic attack starts, I immediately feel weak, like I've lost all the strength in my entire body. Just moving my arms becomes a struggle. I get dizzy and light-headed. I feel a tightness in my chest, tension around my neck and shoulders area. I get nervous and paranoid. I often feel a surge of physical pain as well.
