What are your physical anxiety/panic attack symptoms?
I suffer from GAD and panic disorder. I have panic attacks more often than I wish, some small and other really really bad. I've been to the hospital countless times along with visiting my doctor for what I think is "life threatening" and never find anything. I have experienced chest pain/tightness, shortness of breath, dizzy, headaches, choking sensation that lasts a while, thought of swollen throat, trouble swollwing, numbness, stomach pain, etc. just courious on what everyone goes through. I felt like such a "weirdo" for a long time and thought I was just nuts until finding this app and reading that I'm not alone in this type of attacks.
Getting flashback on some things I hate, breathing gets harder, and u already know the rest
I cry a lot mostly
I've really only had one fullblown panic attack. It started as crying, but then I couldn't stop hyperventilating. My chest started hurting a lot, and I got dizzy, so I ended up on the floo.. My whole body felt really, really hot, It really does feel like you're gonna die during a panic attack. It's awful.
My first attack happened when I was driving to work. My heart started beating fast all of a sudden and then the derealization and terror followed. It passed but then this became a normal occurrence whenever I drove. One time my legs shook so bad I had to pull over. Took me hours to get home. The latter scared me so bad I've been housebound since January. Pounding heart, derealization, dizziness, nausea, tingling in the extremities, chest pain, and the feeling that death is approaching me and always feeling that this was it. They always passed. In the beginning I had all of these symptoms but with a lot of willpower and practice I only experiences few of the above symptoms. Still working on the fear component though. That's the worst part. And the key to beating this.
I didn't realize it was panic attacks but As a kid I would hyperventilate as my panic increased, till (if no one helped stop it) I kind of melted on the floor, became frozen inside, and would cry uncontrollably as I struggled to breathe. My mom didn't do temper tantrums, and crying to get my way never worked. But I guess she recognized this as anxiety based because usually when I got to that point, she would step in and try to fix my life for me until I could breathe again.
I've only had one as an adult (I'm good at fixing or avoiding triggers these days). It caught me by surprise, when talking to a "friend". I misheard something he said, and BAM, suddenly my heart rate went crazy, I couldn't breathe, got visibly pale, was visibly shaking, and my entire skin was clammy. It only lasted a few minutes but freaked my "friend" out, and that was 4 years ago
i cry and cry. my chest tightens and i cry more bc it hurts. my heartbeat fastens and my breathing rate increases while im crying. i get hot and cold rushes (mostly cold) and my legs go weak. i cant stand. i try not to fall. i sit down, clench my chest. it hurts badly. like my heart is physically breaking, tearing at the seams. i stop. everything stops. i cant think straight. i wonder why i was crying in the first place. i hit myself for crying like a baby. i hit myself and it hurts. i cry again. why am i a disappointment? i cry again. why do bad things keep happening to me? i cry some more. i stop. this time i really stop. i don't feel anything anymore. nothing. im tired but i cant sleep. stuck in reverse. if youre reading this, and youre worried, dont be. you shouldnt be. im just describing what one of many anxiety attacks are like for me. im going to try coping techniques that @miracleflower has suggested. i'll be fine.
It is approx being 3 years. I experience sudden chest pain and shortness of breath .
Some times, Fear of dying. I am taking medication to ease these symptoms. In U.S. I was unbale to manage my medication bills and other expenses. These medication cost me so high, then I have swithced to Online Canadian Pharmacy.
It is also one of the reason.
@Deerhuntinbarb
some of the physical symptoms of a panic attack are
hyperventilating, sweating, shaking, heart palpitations, tightness in chest, dizziness, lightheaded and nausea
ive recently started having bad dreams and i think it may be related
- legs shaking uncontrollably
-fast heartbeat
-whole body shakes uncontrollably
-flash backs of car accident (where my anxiety came from)
-speaking becomes difficult
-crying or getting irritated
-body tenses
Sometimes I feel like my skin is too tight. I usually can calm myself down before anything else happens though.
