Bad living situtation and anxiety

I'm in a bad living siutation right now, random roommates who either don't talk to me, curse at me, talk about me, slam doors, etc. I already suffer from panic attacks but they are even worse now and I have them multiple times a day. I don't feel safe and avoid my room as much as possible. I'm working on a room change but I just can't stop crying and having panic attacks right now. Any advice or techniques to lessen anxiety would be much appreciated. Or if you also have a bad living situation or experienced one feel free to talk about it. smiley

@daydreamer1313 May I know a little bit more about your living situation? Is there any chance you're at school and this is a dormitory type of situation?

I think focusing on a room change is a good idea. For now, finding alternatives to being in your room is the next best option. Finding places to hang out, eat, "rest" so you can just use your room to sleep, change clothes, etc. might help.

@ReadBooksDrinkTea Yes I am at a school and it is a dorm. The school has a rule where you can't change rooms for the first 2 weeks of classes so I have to wait until they can find me another space. I know there is an end in sight so I'm trying to focus on that but it's sometimes hard.

And yes, thank you I've been trying to stay out of my room as much as possible to avoid less issues

@daydreamer1313 Uuuugh. I'm sorry you're going though that. Is there a resident assistant or a housing aide or someone similar who might be able to intercede on your behalf or might be able to help your process along? If it's really bad then that seems like a really awful rule to make soemone follow. Like, I understand why it's in place but if you're suffering there's no reason for you to deal with that if there's another opening or someone moved off campus or something.
