Anxiety has pretty much been around since I was a kid. My report cards as a kid were always quoted with one of my least favourite words ever... "SHY". And as I've grown older, "shy" was replaced with 'timid', 'reserved' or even 'bitchy'. Anxiety is interesting. Because from an outsiders viewpoint, they only see the me I allow them to see. But every person that has ever gone through anxiety knows that; we're basically just playing along, we're puppets or actors, maybe even fake people? We're not acting like our true selves because our true selves are deemed 'weird' and 'odd'. So, our next best thing would be to act anti-anxiety lol. For example, I'm writing this and probably coming off as a little bit stuckup, putting everybody in a box lol. But honestly, this is just MY experience. I feel this way about myself and I'm only yammering on because I get carried away often. So I'll probably just stop here ':)

@silentmumbler97 I've always been shy and have had a difficult time having conversations with people I didn't know. Because of that, I also got labeled that I was unfriendly, mean, rude. It's a daily struggle.

Thanks so much for writing this. I've always been a loner, not because I didn't want friends, but because I never felt I could be myself. People always labelled me as shy, reserved, and strange. Rerely did anyone see the terror I was fighting inside.

So other have felt this way! While not a great thing, it is great to know we're not alone.
