Fleas causing major anxiety spikes
So my cat has fleas for the first time and ive never experoenced them before and im kind of going off the rails. I feel like theyre all over my house, im paranoid that something is crawling on me all the time or theyre in my hair or something. I keep finding what i think are eggs everywhere. Ive vacuumed and sprinkled diatomaceous earth everywhere and i feel like i cant even go in my own living room because its being treated. My apartment is my safe space and i feel like its under attack snd this is the most stressful situation that i think ive ever had to deal with. I wish i could just get some peace of mind.

It's understandable that you feel that way <3 Fleas are very tricky, but they don't really cause any serious harm. I don't know if this would make you feel better, but cat fleas don't spread that quick. My cat has a LOT of fleas, yet they still stayed there.
Is there something you love to do that distracts you from this awful thoughts? I heard that self-reassurence helps a bit QwQ!! Examples: "There are no fleas", "They are not dangerous", "I am safe".
I should disagree with the previous poster. Fleas can cause serious damage. Their bites can be a reason for different cat diseases and it's necessary to take measures to get rid of them immediately. It's better to use natural remedies to avoid flea infestation, chemical means sometimes have different unpleasant side effects. Here are some hacks on how to protect your pet and to clean your apartment from insects. Washing all the place with water and vinegar is very effective. Herbal and citrus sprays are good flea repellents as well. But if your cat is infested badly, it's better to take her to a vet after destroying all the fleas.
@TrickyLJ I agree with your view that fleas can cause diseases. I have also one dog in my house. To protect him from fleas I always take help from the Pet Pharmacy.
