Health related anxiety
Hi I've just joined so new at this. I never had any issues with anxiety until I was 27. I had recently lost my uncle to brain tumour and strated getting tension headaches. I started feeling paranoid that I had the same and eventually had a panic attack. I was also having feelings of depression as I was getting blurry vision which I was later advised was to do with the headaches.
I got through that but have now been diagnosed with repetitive strain injury which I've had for last 2 months. I've had physio and I'm doing stretches, having massage etc but I feel like it's not getting better and it's triggered my anxiety again. I'm at the point where I feel it will never get better

Hey, welcome to 7 Cups! I am sorry to hear of your uncle's passing. Tension headaches can be caused by numerous things, but one of those is stress, so it makes sense you were experiencing those. RSI is very common and harmless too. It can be quite shocking when someone dies of something so unpleasant and I can understand why you may have started to become concerned about your own health - it can make us question our own mortality. If you can, trying to push away the thoughts in your mind or answer them with logical answers, may help you overcome it. This all could be heightened due to the grieving process and may improve with time as you come to terms with what's happened and you focus on continuing your own life to the best of your ability. If you are finding the thoughts are becoming more and more prevalent and you cannot ignore them or talk them away, then there is no shame in asking for some help, either from a family member or a professional. I hope things get easier for you ♥
