Heart anxiety

So I went to the ER last week for heart palpitations, and it really scared me bad espicially since I never had that before. I got all the test done and they said I was okay and sent me home, they started to go away and I did some research and saw it was one of the heart attack symptoms. I read the rest and then started getting other symptoms and getting more scared about it. I get chest pains ranging from a few seconds to an hour, sharp or dull, and I get arm pains and all that and it's really scaring me. I'm pretty sure I don't have anything but I still get scared.

@exuberantPal2257

Hi, I hope you find yourself better.
What tests did they do you?
What do you think could have caused those symptoms?

@Bonnie1042 when I went for the palpitations they did an EKG and blood test and all that, then I looked up symptoms and started to have panic attacks but I haven't had them for a few days but still feel pains sometimes.

@exuberantPal2257 My advice is, if your doctor says you're okay, try to believe that. They know a lot more about it than Google. I get a lot of heart symptoms as well, chest tightness, palpitations, arm pain/numbness/tingles. I've come to the conclusion that it's just an anxiety symptom for me. It can still trigger a panic attack when it happens though, so I feel your pain. I've always had a bit of hypochondria, since I was a kid, and it got a lot worse when I was in college, so I definitely understand health-related anxiety and how difficult it can be to deal with, but if the doctor says you're fine, you probably are. Sending virtual hugs, if you want them. =)

@sporkchop Thank you, I went to the doctor last week and they said I was fine after all the tests, but I wasn't having chest pains and all that until after I searched up the symptoms. It's scary because I keep on wondering if they missed something but what are the odds when I leave the ER after tests and then something comes up 2 days later when I have panic attacks.
