Help.... Overwhelmed by School Stress and Anxiety

I get so anxious at school, all the time. It's like I'm in a tense mode once I enter my school. It's very exhausting.

I get so stressed out by every single quiz or test or assignment. I'm going to explode from the pressure of expecting myself to do well. I feel so guilty when I'm not doing homework or revising.

Then very often I just don't want to revise anymore cuz there's just so much to do and I can't bring myself to do it anymore.... Please help I'm so frustrated with myself right now....

Hey there, getting stressed out about not being able to do well is very common.

Sometimes we need to be able to sit ourselves down and be discipline enough to get things done.

Have you tried managing your time well in order to complete your assignments and revisions on time?

Like set out a timetable to make sure you do your revision before you do other things?

@evonne1990 Hi, thanks for your advice. I've tried setting a timetable but I'll end up not being able to finish every thing on my schedule.... Then I'll feel so guilty about it....

I think I'm experiencing burnout... So it's just really hard to pick myself up to revise....

I see. well the best thing to do when you're burnout is to take a break from everything that's stressing you out and enjoy yourself.

Do something you enjoy a lot.

@warmheartedPeach1653 Evonne has offered you some good advice. I'd like to add to that advice. Make sure you take short breaks. After I spend an hour studying, I'll go and do something that I enjoy for ten to fifteen minutes. It really works wonders. Well, it does when I set a timer to make sure I don't overdo it and get distracted. Anyway, maybe that will work for you. I wish you the best in dealing with this. Just remember, there's always hope. If you believe in yourself and use that beautiful mind of yours, you'll be surprised at what you can accomplish. :)

@TheBoxingGoldfish Hi, thanks for your advice. Sometimes breaks work wonders, though sometimes I still can't focus after a break. I feel so burnout right now and I just can't pick myself up to deal with school work.....

Hope you have a great day at school. You should feel good about yourself that you care so much about doing well in school, this is a quality. Do not be so hard on yourself, try to enjoy school. I understand you have anxiety I suffer from it too. I am a perfectionist with my school work at the age of 48 so I understand it does get overwhelming. Good luck
