I am scared of the future. Will I always be a failure?

I am scared of the future. I can see a pattern of me failing in whatever i set my mind and heart to. This pattern is telling me that I am nothing like the person I thought the world wanted. I am what I thought I am, but it is not enough to be what I want to be, apparently.

The thing is, I don't know how to become sharp and strong such that i succeed.(i thought i was, but eh). The psychology of a winner. I fail/lose all the time and I am worried that I'll always be this person. I am unable to achieve anything, not even small goals. I am bad/mediocre at everything. When i was little I was sharp and bright and I used to win. But i guess it just doesn't work anymore. I am making it sound like a fussy kid, but this is serious and has been affecting me for over a year.

I seam also severly distracted and upset about my void and vain love life. I suck at this thing too. I do all that it takes but it never takes me where it should. It is unsettling to know that i have never had any real person in the outside world love me, romantically.

I don't know what all this is about. It was hard to even express it in words, the way I feel. What is wrong with me...I am not giving up but I need direction...

@CosmicCat17 Hi. You are not alone because I actually feel like that alot now that am 30! When I was youger I had life figured out but it is getting harder to even see any goal achieved. Am scared of tomorrow and feel like a failure. No active love life and I feel as if no one understands me or is on my side. I just want to give up on life

Hi I'm 38 and I have not given up on life. Actually life had given up on me :)

I do feel you both but its a working process. You fall then you get up then you fall again and then u get up just like how babies do except babies don't remember but we do. The loneliness I feel from being with no friends and the void left in my heart with no romance, has definitely aggrevated my ability to connect again. Have I become used to the pattern? or I simply lost the way and can't seem to find it again?! I have a goal that before I hit the 40 (lets hope I don't hit hard) that I will be able to figure out things and be able to revive this heart of mine.

We're all the same but one Little suggest... I really don't think we should put age parameters to our emotional goals. Its a process. I think like it makes us feel like we're running out of time and robs our ability to think peacefully.

We'll all go on and bring pleasant changes in our life. We'll figure it out. Age parameters will only slow things down or hinder them(according to me...)

.thanks for acknowledging the thread beautiful people♥️

I feel the sae thing ever since I was ateen till well in my mid forties now and never found a cure or what to do about it...allways feared the future and the fact that I am not going to be able to cope with it as a normal person and yes "mediocre" is how I felt all my life...
