I feel sad and anxious

I have not been having a great time recently ever since I moved in with my partner. He is feeling overwhelmed with taking this big step and what it means for our relationship. And my insecurities are saying he doubts our relationship and he wants to break up. How do I not feel this way? How can I give my partner the space to feel this way and not feel like he wants to break up with me? I think I really tend to catastrophize a lot of things and maybe this is one of those things?

What I've found helpful when I'm overwhelmed by negative thoughts is to write down lists of all the evidence I have to support that though and all the evidence I have that contradicts that fact.

I also struggle with trusting that my partner wants to be with me especially when he's dealing with something himself. I think it's important not to act on those thoughts on impulse. Though perhaps sharing some of them with your partner could help. I know it can be scary, but can be reassuring. Maybe just tell him that you understand he needs space and you want to give it to him, but you'd just like some reassurance that he's not planning to end the relationship.
