I'm tired of anxiety

I can list each thing that triggers my anxiety. I know what they all are. And I'm so sick of not being able to have any peace from it.

My anxieties stem from my spouse and child. All the emotional "growing up" stuff, and school, and relationships and ... - everything that surrounds raising a child, it causes me great anxiety. Because I'm on the front lines of it. I hear about it all. I'm the parent that gets the calls from school, that talks with teachers, that is the person my child comes to when things are bad. And I'm not saying that's terrible. It's a great thing. And I never want it to stop. I'm happy that we can have open discussions. But I take on all the hurt and sadness and anger and frustration he's feeling.

And then there's my spouse, who is unhappy and has really become angry with the world. It's like we can't have a conversation without him saying something negative. Seriously, he could find a way to make puppy dogs and ice cream cones a bad thing. 100% pessimist. All of that negativity makes my anxiety peak. He's so focused on himself all the time that I feel alone being a parent, alone being a wife.

So I'm getting emotionally/mentally hit by both people I love in my immediate circle on a daily basis. And I don't get a chance to vent out my feelings and worries and angers. I'm fortunate to have a job I can go to for a break. But this anxiety over everyone else - it's wearing me down.

I have medication I'm prescribed for anxiety, and I'm only supposed to take it when I need it. Lately it has been every day. And I don't want it to be like that.

I know I'm supposed to let go of the things I can't control. And all of that anxiety is from things I can't control. Maybe I could handle it more if it wasn't all the time, every day. I'm just so tired of being frantic and jittery and...alone. I feel very alone.

It's not that I don't have people to talk to. I have family and friends. But I just don't know how to approach things with them, and I know they're all struggling, too, with everything that's going on. I hate to dump my problems on them.

How do I let go of at least some of this? How can I "accept what I cannot change?" How do I stop thinking about everyone else for a little while and just try to care for myself?
