My first tip is to keep a journal, I found that brilliant for discovering times that my anxiety was worse and the better times too. By identifying these times, we can then go forward to look for solutions.

How about you?

@lucy2

Keeping a journal is really helpful. I also have a diary and i write about the thing, about my anxiety and how i tried to cope with it. I listen instrumental music as it helps me calm down and have deep breaths as well to feel better.

If I can't sleep, which is often I try to listen to 'Meditations' by Thais Gautiercapucon on YT, it's absolutely brilliant and I'm always asleep before it finishes!

I find distilling my thoughts to 1 ot 2 themes helps. If there is someone I trust that I can speak to, I will give them the summarised version and get a more objective view on those things. It's really calming.

@lucy2

Hello!

So great tips! I use all of those as well! Going outside and exercising is helpful, as I forget how my heart beats. Also talking about the cause of anxiety helps. I've also tried yoga and meditation. Doing anything you like in anywhere you feel safe and good, helps. If it means drawing or reading outside, just do it! If the weather allows of course 😊

Theres this really cool app called #selfcare that I used a lot when I was in school. It has a journal in it and small games in it like puzzles or sorting through clothes which helped me focus only on the game. It also has calming music and a cat that when you click on you can pet it and change the color of its fur or eyes. It also tells you something uplifting or encouraging when ever you do anything. @lucy2
