My son burnt his leg

So I get anxious sometimes because in my mind it seems like the world over night has turned on me. For example the other day my ex calls me and tells me that my son burned himself with hot tea that was sitting on the table and that he is fine. I thought he was trying to upset me because he would never tell me anything that’s going on at all. So I went to pick up the kids the next day and he refused to let me see them. I called the sheriff office to do a wellness check up the kids he calls me like 4 hrs later and tells me he checked on the kids and they are fine. I pick up my son and tell him to go take a bath. Then I see the ugliest burn on his thigh. I’m pissed and my sons version of the story is that his aunt gave him hott tea a 7 year old for the cornovirus and she told him to drink it. When he took it it fell on him and burnt him. 🥵😡 I’m pissed but he says that his dad took him to the hospital and everything. When I ask his dad about it he ignores me. I’m going to try to find a lawyer but I don’t see that point because it’s as if I have no say or rights in this whole situation. I can just keep praying to God to fight my battles because this has been happening to me since day one when we got a divorce. Nobody treats me with any respect. Like I would never give my son hot tea from the stove, I wouldn’t put it at the end of the table and tell him to drink. So now how can I have any faith in the sheriff office God forbid if something happens to my kids. As long as someone says they are okay then that’s all. My son was obviously upset that he got burnt. I wish I could attach a picture also. But the fact that they won’t even communicate with me and just be honest. It pissess me off.
