Online dating and anxiety
Sick of being single so have been putting alot of time into online dating for the last number of months. I was in such a good head space when i first started i.e. i waa managing my anxiety and moods. As my online dating experiences have been unsuccessful my head space has bee. Progressively getting worse and i now feel at an all time low.
I don't know what to do, it is stressing me out 😔
Heyy , it's completely okay to feel that way
Just know that people who really care about you are the ones who are closest to you :) . Dating online must have felt like a quick solution but it proved to be unsuccessful as you stated , making your head space progressively worse and making you feel low as well.
Just ask yourself some questions -
Is online dating really worth your time and energy ?
Are you really satisfied with this?
What things make you truly happy from inside? (Try to do more of those )
What can I do to make myself feel better? (Trust me only you know yourself better than anyone else)
Just answer these simple questions and you'll probably get your answer <33

That sounds really heavy I can sense the efforts you are putting in with the hope of little joy and connection in return. It's really painful place to be in and I am sorry to hear you have to go through it.
It's okay to feel low right now. You have been showing up, trying, caring and when it has not workout it you might have felt your world of self-worth shaking. But the reality is your value is not defined by your dating outcomes. You are not alone in this, nor you have to go through it all alone. I am here for you to listen

Online dating can be a very stressful experience, and it's perfectly understandable to feel drained and discouraged by it. If it's affecting your overall mental health and increasing anxiety, maybe you could try counterbalancing this with activities that put you in a better mental space or even take a break from the online dating scene altogether? What are some hobbies/pastimes that help you feel more confident in yourself or put you in a more positive headspace?
Hi Curly Girl,
It's really tough when you feel that you're putting effort into something and it's not paying off. Have you connected with any listeners to talk about this?
A couple ideas...
- There are some articles and podcasts about how to be more successful in online dating. Have you looked any of those up? Here's one example:

If there's any way to do online dating in a way that's fun for you, rather than something that seems like a chore, then it will be more self-sustaining.

Sounds like the experience of online dating is increasing your anxiety instead of building the confidence you were working on. Online dating can be challenging, as people often feel they can say whatever they want. When something in your life becomes difficult, even toxic, you get to choose what you want to keep and what should go. When you look at the benefits of online dating vs the negative impact it is having on you, what would you like to do?
@Curlygirl1
I hear you. These online dating can be really draining. It’s not a failure on your part. Sometimes stepping back, focusing on things that lift you up, and being gentle with yourself helps. I feel for you. You are not alone here.
@Curlygirl1 Adult dating preferences can vary widely, but many users share the same need for transparency. Instead of guessing intentions, people often want access to structured information. Browsing at one’s own pace helps maintain confidence. Within this context, escort fits smoothly into adult dating as part of a thoughtful search process. Respectful communication usually defines success.
@Curlygirl1That sounds really exhausting... especially because you started out in such a good head space and were managing your anxiety well. Putting so much time and hope into online dating and then having it not work out can really take a toll on your mood and confidence. I can imagine how discouraging it must feel to notice your mental health slipping when you were actually doing okay before. Feeling stressed and at an all-time low after all that effort makes a lot of sense. You are not weak for feeling this way. What do you think has been the hardest part of this whole experience for you lately?
