People don't understand!

One of my issues when dealing with anxiety tends to come from my family and friends. I've noticed how they sometimes seem to down-play my anxiety as if it's not a big deal and I'll be OK. I believe they act this way because they don't know what it's like living the way I have to live and I try to explain to them how miserable it makes me feel but they just don't understand! I'm tired of trying to explain myself to people and trying to make them understand what I'm going through. Anyone else feel this way?

@ALH Yes it gets difficult dealing with anxiety, but the management and the positivity indeed helps a lot. Be bold let's fight for mental health together.

@ALH I understand definitely!!! My husband is the same exact way & it's frustrating. To have someone who should be supporting you just say to you that's it's all in your mind & you can control it & all that it hurts. Because I didn't choose anxiety. I don't like it. I try to leave it behind but it always manages to find me. People don't understand because they choose not to. If it was them, it'd be a whole different story.
