Physical Anxiety Symptoms

Perhaps it sounds strange, but I almost feel better when my anxiety manifests physically. I feel really out of control and helpless in my current situation, but being able to take care of the physical symptoms at least makes me feel like I'm doing something.

Do any of you get physical symptoms? I told a friend about it and she thought it was strange, but I often feel a little bit nauseated and really dizzy, as well as getting cold and shivery. When it gets really bad, I throw up.

(I don't really know what I'm hoping to achieve by making this thread, I think I just need a distraction. If you're still reading, thanks!)

Yes, I definitely feel this way too.

It's much better when the symptoms are physical because we know how to resolve and care for those symptoms.

However, when it's in your head, it's difficult because it's more of a trial and error type of thing. You're not entirely sure how to make yourself feel better, and in trying to do so you might end up feeling worse.
