Do you all have friends or whomever told you these when ur struggling with anxieties?

1. Just dont think about it. They are not your who and who.

2. Happiness is a choice which i dont think im able to just flip the switch and choose happy whenever i want.

3. They do not understand anything about anxiety and they use whats working for them and try to force them on you.

4. You didnt try hard enough.

I know but its affecting me, and i just cant snap out of it. It sounds so simple from their expression that i m ashamed at myself for bringing it up. Sometimes to the extend i wan thrm just to understand and forget about helping to solve my problems. I had enough. And how hard is enough? Until they see u suceeded recovering? Or else everything means you didnt try hard enough.

Seriously i hate the world.

We cannot measure (or should not measure) our accomplishments and successes and growth using the measuring stick of another person. It's our own personal growth that matters. For some people who deal with anxiety, it's a great accomplishment to get out of the house. For others, it's starting up a conversation with a stranger. We all are on different paths, even though we generally have the same goal in mind.

Also, everything we do to "get better" and rid ourselves of anxiety takes time and practice. You can't become a concert pianist without practicing every day. You can't learn a new language without studying it every day. And you can't move beyond anxiety without using the tools and techniques that work best for you each day. For example, meditation and mindfulness - when I started, I thought it was dumb, I did it on and off, and found no benefit. But, when I decided that I needed to actually try and DO it, and do it daily, and commit to seeing if it would work - it started working.

We need to commit to being better for ourselves by our own standards. No one elses.

Thank you thougtfulmama, i agree too we are of different lives and diff paths, we live differently and one mans medicine could be another mans poison, nobody should say my problem is worse than yours.it could also feel very bad for the other who had different problem than you. And even if they say their problem is worse than mine doesnt solve anything, it doesnt even make me feel better that they are worse or i should be happier they are worse.

Regarding medition, i felt it wont work i didnt commit tho, but it really helps for you? Perhaps i did it wrongly. I tried headspace before too. Is it useful?

@VanCeY

I'm currently using Headspace, and it's really been beneficial to me. But I schedule time every day for myself to relax and go through one of the meditations. It has to be daily, even if it's just for five minutes. It's a gift I'm giving myself to find a quiet, relaxing moment in the day.

@VanCeY

And if it doesn't work for you, look around for something that does. It should always be something that you want to do and feel comfortable with.
