What is my purpose?
My entire life there’s always been something I’m working towards. A goal in my sport. A goal at school. At work.
A recent change in events has me no longer competing in my sport, I’m about to graduate, and I just got my dream job. So what is my new goal?
I feel lost without a tangible thing to strive for. I actually have anxiety around it. I have no idea what my purpose is or who I am. I don’t feel content just living- there HAS to be a goal.
So who am I and what is my purpose without a current tangible goal?

Understandable. I feel you. This happens to a lot of graduate. It is now a matter of shifting perspective and making goals towards other things in life such as reaching $$$, retirement accounts, or putting together your financial portfolio. For others, it may be dating life, making a family, or goals within your career.
It is perfectly fine to feel the way you do. I am sure with time and as you work your dream job, you will find new goals and purpose in life.
@lightSea47 Those are some big questions so they'll take time to answer. But I'm not sure I see them in the same way you do. I see us as animals who don't have a select purpose, just like a hippopotamus doesn't. I also see who you are as an observer. You are not your actions, emotions, goals, or and other labels.
However, I know how it feels to live life without a rudder, and clarifying my values helped me choose a direction.
If you end up struggling more with these existential questions I'd recommend the book Searching for Meaning by James T. Webb. Best of luck!
