What was the moment for you when you realized what you were doing, everyday all the time, was now a problem and not just a cute quirk? I think mine was the one time I had an anxiety attack because my friend wouldn’t put his windshield wipers down. It had been raining and he shut the car off mid wipe. For me, I've know for some time I had anxiety but it used to only affect my mental health. Like 3 years ago, it started affecting my physical health. I couldn't sleep, and I would wake up in the middle of the night with anxious thoughts. I would also start eating, and a few bites in, I'd start to feel nauseous and didn't finish my plate. I lost like 15 pounds in 5 weeks and thats when I noticed that this was serious! I tried to find a therapist, bit no luck. Eventually I got better on my own 🤷🏻‍♀️ But now, when anxiety gets bad, I always have to watch out for those symptoms.

I was living in my apartment at the time. The night before, while I was asleep, my anxiety suddenly hit me like I've never experienced before. It wasn't morning yet but I couldn't go to sleep after it happened. I stayed up most of the morning, sitting outside on my porch, thinking. That was when I realized I needed to get help. So I started getting into self help books and made my first appointment with an anxiety therapist.
