I've never tried posting here before but I can't talk to anyone about this because I feel like I would just weigh them down with all my worrying. everything was perfectly fine but then all of a sudden I started worrying about my future. I don't know what I want to do with my life or who I want to be, I don't even know who I am.. I've always changed my personality to fit the social situation I'm in even at home and it's to the point where I don't know who am I or how to act when I'm alone and I feel like I'm crazy for always adjusting how I behave based on whos around me. I also can't stop worrying that I'm going to be the downfall of my relationship. my boyfriend and I have been dating for a while and he keeps talking about our future and I want to have a future with him but I also can't help but think what would my life be like if I wasn't with him or if I was with someone else. I'm also worried that from the little he's said about his personal beliefs and the things that his parents believe in, our core values in life aren't going to match up enough to be able to support a healthy future with him. I wanna ask him about this but I'm too scared to know the answer but its been eating me up inside. I feel awful and guilty every time I think about what it would be like If I was single or if I was with someone else. there are a million other thoughts running through my head and I'm so worked up about everything that I feel like my stomach is in knots and my chest feels tight but I don't know how to get rid of these thoughts and just force myself to forget about it and go to sleep

I'm sorry i know this is super long but i don't know what else to do

Sorry to hear alexis, that sounds aweful. To have so much mixed emotions and that feeling of being stuck can be overwhelming for anyone. Constantly trying to adjust urself to situations and surroundings can be demanding and with added worries , fears guilt , it can burn out anyone . I hope u get some support in someone, may be ur partner, famiy, friend, therapist , counsellor who can unferstand u and help u. I pray u get required support and wisdom to make best decisions for u and live a calm, happy, healthy life heart

@blissart

I really hope I can get there one day, but for now, I don't have anyone in my life I feel like I can turn to with these thoughts. they all have so much going on and I don't want to add to their stress or worries... I can't afford therapy and the counselor at my school is a joke when it comes to student's personal issues. thank you for the kind words tho.

Hi Alexis 😊

thank you for opening up and posted here.

I understand how overthink things can end up making us feeling overwhelmed and it's like our mind and feelings are all over the place.

I can relate to that to some extent 🌸

It may take some times to sort it out and find a way that fits you best but you've made your first little steps to overcome it by acknowledge it, being here and posted your story 🌸

There will be people who can relate to that as well and replying to this thread

There are also many great listeners here and you can browse to find one that may fits you and ask if they are up for a longterm member.

Stay calm, stay kind, stay safe 🌸

Hi. I know how you might be feeling and it's extremely exhausting. Overthinking and worrying all thetime and then getting stuck in the spiral. It's very difficult to break it. All this has a very negative impact on your mind. There are many guides here that may help you to deal with this issue, like mindfulness. It's doesn't help with the problem itself but it will help you get calmer. That's important too as you may not be able to think clearly now either. Try to focus on doing things you like. Maybe that may help. I hope something works for you. ❤️
