I don't know if it's because of lack of drive for life but ever since being on benefits I have lost the drive to work for money and all my friends are graduating from university and that is good but makes me feel kinda ashamed that because I can't handle the pressure of working I have not been capable or interested in achieving that yet ...can anyone relate?

Have you tried medication to control your anxiety? I asked for time off work whilst I was adapting and when I was having tough times so there are supportive work places around. You're going to feel like this as you're not really progressing, whilst they are, but focus on healing yourself before you look at moving forward in life and getting a job.

When I was younger, yes, most definitely. I suffered from depression at the time that I was 'supposed' to go to university. Due to the level of my depression, I lost all motivation to get out of bed let alone attend classes. I was out of work and out of study for a time and my motivation for life suffered because of it. It was my parents that booked me into a job (at my mother's workplace) which brought back routine into my life and that helped with regaining the motivation.

I don't know if that makes any sense to you in your situation but sometimes finding some form of routine can help with regaining motivation in those circumstances. It may work. It may not, but it's an option.
