Anxiety after social events

Everytime I socialize with anyone, I always overthink everything I said and did during interactions. Lately, mostly when I am around people I don't know very well, I have horrible anxiety attacks for weeks after the interaction if I feel like I did something embarrassing or annoying. I don't even like when there is a second of the day that I have time to think because I usually have some sort of thought that sends me into slight anxiety attack. I am starting to try to take time to write down my thoughts that I am anxious about to force myself to think about it, and it seems to help me a little bit, but was wondering if anyone had any additional advice.

I'm sorry, this must be very difficult for you. You are not the only one who experiences these thoughts. Not a lot of people are comfortable being around a lot of people, it's completely normal. I'm pretty sure the people you talk to do not look at you that way and it might just be all in your head. Overthinking can lead to that. Social events can be very overwhelming. I honestly avoid them as much as I can and I always bring someone I know to make it less uncomfortable.

Hello! This must be very difficult for you... having anxiety after socializing with people is very challenging, and it also makes socializing scary again... I'm glad that you are trying to be more aware of your thoughts though since that will help you cope with this feeling as well.... the best advice I can give is to take it slow, and that you're doing better than you think. As long as your intentions are great then you are good! I've learned that most people don't really mind after some time too when you screw up, but they remember the good parts about you! Hope this helps and take care!
