Fear of strangers + new doctor

I've been having some health issues :P and have an appointment with my new doctor to get some tests done.... so scared not because of the appointment it's self but of the doctor because i have never met him. But I know my fear is unreasonable so I am going.. just really anxious about it

@Theuglyduck Thanks for posting and being here on 7CUPS.
hope you get a clean bill of health. Most doctors are very professional. If they do not know what is necessary will usually refer you to someone else.

It's okay to be anxious about meeting new people- even if that person is your doctor.
The information you give your doctor is often quite personal which may make you feel even more anxious if you don't feel comfortable opening up to people.
I agree with @soulsings that most doctors are very professional. I'm not a doctor but I'm sure they have seen many patients, each of them is in a unique situation. You are very unlikely to be judged in any way.
