How i see social anxiety

I’ve been diagnosed for 4 years now and struggle with large crowds, eating in front of people, ordering food, going places alone, presenting or talking in front of people and sometimes I get so paranoid I forget how to walk properly because I’m so focused on if I walk weird, I haven’t managed with it in the most positive ways, I’ve decided to just block out society and stay home instead of exploring and creating memories, I feel so limited with what I can accomplish. Nobody around me has social anxiety or understands why I feel the way I do, I’m in constant panic all the time which they don’t seem to understand, I figured if I shared my experience you will know you aren’t alone

I had these feelings when in my teenage, managed to over come them not all but most. The question is does it make you happy to cut your self from society, if yes then problem solved, if no and you want to go out then you have to get used to the different creatures called humans, the more you try the more it gets easier. But first you have to role out all health issues that are curable by medicine. I learned in life that there is always a solution to a problem eather with medicine or by spirit.

I’m a shut in. Well kinda I only spend time with my husband and our kids and his parents. Mine gets really bad if I have to go in to pay for gas and I get a fountain pop to. I keep spilling the damn cups! On counters on the cashier desk. I feel hopeless. It’s getting worse.

Don't be afraid to keep spilling things and emberrassing yourself. Instead of thinking: "Oh no what have I done?" or "Why am I this stupid" or something like that think "Yeah okay it happened again so what? How did it happen?". Try to concentrate on what's going wrong and what is giving you this anxiety. There are a lot of helpfull guides online that give tips how to calm yourself by focusing on your breathing for example. Just try not to worry to much about it and seek a person you can trust and who will stand next to you and say that it is okay to make mistakes or do emberrasing things. We are only humans after all not oiled machines. Hope this helps you and if you need someone to talk to don't be afraid to go to on of our other listeners or you can always send me a message. You got this! :)

You are definitely not alone! The description you gave would be the same for me. What helped me was finding a really good friend and telling them what I was dealing with and asking if he/she is willing to help. Luckily that friend of mine had social anxiety aswell so we pushed eachother to do things and we are still doing that to this day. We act confident to the other like: "Oh come on you can do it. I would totally do it." Even though the other one wouldn't but in that way we are challenging each other and that gives a big boost to just go for it. And don't be afraid to fail because fail stands for: First Attempt In Learning. Just try and find someone you feel at ease with and go slow and steady with the social situations together and every time try to slightly push your boundaries a bit and in the end you will get there! :)
