Dad puts "Safety" stuff on Mom's laptop=Mom needs to use my computer =look up stuff.
I am really annoyed about the fact Dad puts a bunch of "safety" stuff on Mom's laptop which means her laptop takes about 15mins to start up (so she says) so that if she needs to look up something she has to use MY computer instead because its already is on.
My Dad doesn't understand that the "Safety" crap he's putting on its making the laptop basically unusable for Mom.
I'm getting to the point that next time Mom's up here using my computer -I'm starting up the laptop and removing every single safety crap that Dad has installed on it. I mean does Mom really need a gameplay booster thing for "safety?" she doesn't play games at all on the computer!!
Like when our old fridge failled in Early August - I came back up to this room after lunch and I found Mom using my computer to look at websites for appliances. When I went to the bathroom downstairs -I told Dad something like this: "I found Mom using my computer because of the safety crap on her computer its slow" and Dad's response was "the safety crap didn't come with her computer and it has always been slow". Its like he CANNOT understand the safety crap he's putting on is what's making it slow!

If you do not like her using yours just un install the items your dad has loaded her computer with .. see if you can take it back to reset to what it was like and perhaps clean it up by deleting history and cookies and such.
@toughTiger6481 the problem is as I said it takes 15mins to load and Mom hates that. and the other problem is that Dad will get really angry and yell if he found out I uninstalled stuff.
I mean he litereally claimed that the "notebook has always been slow" but he doesn't understand its slow because of the safety crap.

While security is important on some online things a bunch of it is a waste. perhaps he has other things installed wanting to perhaps track her online? Seems defeated if she uses yours to search for stuff ... does he monitor the computer because how would he even notice your took items off better yet show your MOM how to do it.

he was upstairs on Wednesday night for hours trying to install a new google Chrome broser to Mom's computer.
And no Dad doesn't monitor what Dad does. It just Mom doesn't like the 15+min wait for her computer to boot up because the computer is too slow.
It just Dad like myself can get mad about any little thing- and he would have an explousion if I uninstalled any safety crap.
