No matter how many times I try and explain myself
Hi:
I have AuHD and with the political climate going on, I tried to post a couple of videos on my T.T. channel. That being said, I got met with some nasty blacklash. A few of them were longterm caregivers who attacked me for being too "High functioning" and being more able bodied. Therefore, it was not about me and that we are making other people feel more invisible. I was feeling upset today that I chatted in the support chats. Someone talked about taking breaks from social media and so I logged out to calm down. I have never done that and I am glad.
@Summershy
Im sorry you went thru that. Its totally true that modern media can allow some people to say things that they wouldn't say in real life and this can make it an unhealthy environment, which sometimes it is better to stay away from.

Unfortuneatly some of the long term care givers do compare and put people down in person. I've seen it in the mental health circles as a professional and as service user. It's disgusting and should not be accepted, but unfortuneatly if you are what 'looks like' able bodied there is a cultural expectation for you to be so. It's so messed up.
@LifeIsMyCanvas
I understand. I too have an invisible disability and I've had to learn how to deal with the assumptions of other people. It is not right or fair.
@Summershy
There is no such thing as high functioning AuDHD in my opinion. I'm considered high functioning and that term honestly makes me want to cry because the stress I go through on a constant basis is unreal.
I'm so sorry they treat you like that, I hope you can delete those comments and block the toxic ***.
