Bipolar Disorder
Would anyone like to share the hardest part about having Bipolar Disorder?
@Ananya32
Welcome 🥰
Sharing, so that more people will see it and may share their stories 💜💕
@Amanda84 What do you mean by sharing? Are you linking to social media?
@AffyAvo
Sharing to the forums so people will see it. Right here.
Of course, I'm not sharing it to social media!
@Amanda84 Ooh, ok, I'm not familiar with people posting within the same thread calling that sharing besides sharing their own story/experience. 7 cups does have the social media sharing links but not sure how effective that is to get responses and I know some prefer not to have things shared that way.
Probably the days when at the end of the day you feel like you’d be better off dead. But have to use your tools and trudge on. You’ll have good days and bad ones. It’s a rollercoaster so hold on

having to take high doses of medication which have side effects- can be scary
Treating people nicely and with a smile. Most people who don't truly know me would never guess I am Bipolar 1. Maintaining that persona that I dont have a disorder while baring the weight of a tank, is the hardest thing I have to do every day. I have my friends and some family who wholeheartedly accept me and this disorder. But I still feel like a hated invisible fly everywhere I go and with everyone I'm around.
I let that feeling roll off my back now but feeling like that all day and constantly telling yourself its just the chemicals making you feel this way, is exhaustingly torturous to the mind and heart.
Genuinely not noticing the onset of a manic episode and being certain you are yourself and making logical decisions and aren’t manic- and the sudden realization when you notice that you’ve done or are doing one of your marker behaviors that you’re not completely yourself.
Finding the right mix of meds. It took 2 hospitalizations and lockdowns to get there. What works today may not be the long term answer.

It's different for everyone. I have severe agitated depression and fluctuate. And ruminate bad with racing thoughts. I don't get euphoric. No one has understood me last 50 years and been abused and ignored in hospitals. And have Asperger's and OCD. The worst part are these mental health "pros"! They're horrible, uneducated, sarcastic, unprofessional.
