dear PhilosophicalCity4938, it will depend on your particular program. At the University Hospital near me, they call it Intensive Outpatient treatment. It runs from about 9 am to 4pm five days per week.

There are various activities during the day, similar to the activities during a full-time hospitalization: group therapy, individual therapy, education classes, etc. Some programs include meditation training, art therapy, time for writing, and so forth. There are snack breaks and lunch break.

I wish you all the best for success in your program!

I've been attending a day hospital for about six months for anxiety and depression. I have one-to-one therapy, take part in a relaxation class (started off one-to-one, now I'm part of a group class) and yoga class, and I've done short courses on anxiety and mindfulness.

I was really nervous when I first started going there, but everyone is so kind and supportive, there is a really welcoming atmosphere. I hope you find it as beneficial as I have, good luck! smiley
