Hi all

im New here… I’ve been dealing with bipolar depressive disorder for years was recently diagnosed about 3 years ago when I hit my very first manic stage! I men it probably wasn’t the fist but the first it has hit me as it did. Today I’m manic and for some reason I pull out and go right back into it again and I developed new symptoms: PANIC ATTACKS, sleeplessness, so much muscle aches and just wanted to ask what are some things you all do to help you cope with symptoms when you manic!? I’m trying to help myself before I’m placed on disability again and I’m just that much closer to it😞 I Look forward from hearing from you all.

HI. Welcome to 7 cups. And congratulations on your first post.

I'm sorry to read about the struggles you are dealing with. It sounds like you are approaching them with lots of sense, maturity, and awareness, and I hope that helps you find tools to peace.

For panic attacks, I found the AWARE process really helpful.

Just saying to mysrlf "I'm snowballing (my term for panicking), and it will end", would give me the courage to look for a way to wait it out. It rarely solved it, but it would take a bit of the edge of it. It's a bit like saying "this is going to hurt", often means it actually hurts less.

Whatever you do, good luck and peace to you.
