diagnosing...
Im think I may be bipolar, but don't know where to go to get professionally diagnosed. can I go to any clinic?
@bswnnwnwnw As far as I know, you usually need to see a psychiatrist to get a formal diagnosis of bipolar disorder (or any other mental illness).
You might simply be able to go any clinic that provides psychiatric diagnosis, or to a psychiatrist directly, or you might have to get a referral from a primary care doctor (GP or PCP), depending on where you are and how the diagnosis is to be paid for.
You could maybe ask your primary care doctor what the process is where you are.

I think I might be bipolar. I got a 49 out of 51 on a test online. 51 is an extreme case of bipolar disorder. I can't seem to tell my parents. Help???
@Viviane189 I would try to get an appointment with a therapist or someone to be medically diagnosed then say to your parents that the therapist said you are bipolar, etc
You can go to any therapist or psychiatrist for a diagnosis. I would just caution you about self diagnosing. There are multiple disorders with overlapping symptoms. It's takes a through assessment by a skilled clinician to rule out other conditions and make that diagnosis.
