56, been diagnosed for about 14 years , suspect I first had it when I was as around 9. After many years of trauma and now medication, I’m somewhat balanced. I work 1 day a week and write /paint the rest. Happy to listen to anyone going through bipolar/ psychosis stuff. I’ve been there. I can hear you.

Hi, I was diagnosed bipolar last year and am still trying to learn how to live with this new understanding of myself. i was previously diagnosed with severe depression for years i’m not 100% what changed but i went through a lot of trauma.

Is there a way to know patterns better like when am i going to be sad and when am i manic? how do you become aware of it before it happens or without being told and how do you function with proper energy levels?
