How do I get unstuck?

I feel guilty that I'm too scared to seek employment. I'm nearing 30. I barely graduated with a bachelor's in Computer Science through all that stress and suicidality and *** hate it. I worked as a 3d animator for 2 years and it went nowhere, let go in a mass layoff. I tried relearning web design for the past year but I got such an aversion. I feel like I hit a dead end. I feel like I was never meant for capitalism and all the anxieties and growing resentment for everything. I hate myself for not being able to force myself to at least try anymore. I try to relax but the though gnaws at the back of my mind. I never feel at ease.

@brightAvocado4697

have you considered employment in a different field?   not just for the employment but to see what else they may have interest in.

Good computer skills can be used it so many ways and jobs it may help you think about what you might really enjoy.

Maybe but this just feeling of lethargy and resentment has grown in me. I don’t know where to even start to be honest

I get it have been there myself.... it is frustrating.

Even when we do find a job if we look and compare, we feel we should be further along or somehow more content, but life and work is a grind and I take a few good days as wins.

I'd like to reassure you that it's okay. You don't need to feel guilty or resentment for being stuck. We all have our moments when our employment seems to come to a dead end, but know that there is something out there for you to rediscover. Computer Science is a very broad field, with many different types of industries you could work in.

I'm thinking, maybe you can start by looking into the medical field, I know a couple of people who Majored in Computer Science and works as an IT in the medical field. In my area, there are many postings in Healthcare, regarding that.

Or if you feel that Computer Science is giving you stress, maybe you can branch off from it by studying something extra. Something that you would enjoy doing and is less stressful.

Know that it's never too late to make career changes, whether or not you change fields entirely, or return to studies. Follow your heart. Do what makes you feel good, it's important to keep moving forward, even if you're just take small steps.
