I have mixed feelings
I started teaching as a suitable career for me.
by the time i gained experience but yet i cant have a stable place its either because of the staff or kids.
lately i started to prove myself as a good teacher and how to deal with kids however i cant deal with the staff.
unfortunately i now started to doubt myself and believe after 13 years of experience that i dont belong to teaching
the issue is as a single mother with financial issues i cant take the risk and change my career as i totally depend on my salary
I am really depressed as i feel i am stuck

I think when we get the notion the job is not working for us anymore yet we like the pay / benefits or something it becomes a feeling like we are stuck which makes the situation more and more on our mind that we are not happy....
we start bargaining with well we can work around the stability etc and then we may make bargains with ourselves instead make a plan. do you have a 3 month safety fund/ can you get all checkups and such before you make any decision plan for by x amount of time you can or will move on....
when i did that focused plan the stress about the situation lightened and i found ways of job being bearable again.
Can you share what problems the staff is rising? Why are they difficult to cope with?
@donzi89
I have a friend who is a teacher, and as she shared with me similar challenges over time, she loved teaching, but realized it was the school that had an unhealthy structure and setting. Teaching wasn't the problem, she loved teaching. She ended up moving to a different school near her and she loved it and was very happy with both the staff and her students. They were very focused on excellence of both staff and children and the atmosphere was very positive.
I don't know if there is an option for you to investigate the open of other schools in your area so that you can stay within your career or if you really want to get out of your career.
If you want to change careers, there is a financial teacher and author (Dave Ramsey) who speaks about having an emergency fund ($2000) and I think he said 6 months living expenses saved up so that if you were without a job for an extended amount of time, you could still live without worry. I don't know if you have the ability to stay within your career now but work towards saving to have a cushion toward having the finances to have that space to find a new career that you would be happy in, but it might be something to consider even having some of it.
Another thought is to consider checking out a local library, career center or university to see if they could provide a test for helping you to determine what area of careers might be the best fit for you if you want to move away from teaching. There then to be several career options outside of teaching that still fall into the same areas of your skills and talents I'm sure. I don't know what they are as I haven't taken that test for years, but the last time I took it there were several options that they gave career wise for me.
I'm glad you posted. It can really feel bad to be stuck.
@donzi89 I'm sorry you feel stuck 😞 I'm not really sure what to say to comfort you best. So I'm just gonna give you a giant festive tiny hug ❤❤
